The Country Reports formally thematic overviews (TOs) describe the main features of the respective VET systems and comprise all themes.
The "VET in Europe-Country Report Germany 2011" is published.

The VET Country Reports 2010 are also published.
The new brochure "Spotlight on VET Germany" is published, now. The binary system of vocational training in Germany is represented and their characteristics and attractiveness are brought up for discussion. It deals further with the current and future challenges. Substantial data illustrate the present situation of the education participants.

With eKnowVet CEDEFOP presents a regularly updated information system on vocational education and training systems in 29 European countries (the 27 EU member states as well as Norway and Iceland). A common input structure, which is organised around a set of predefined (e.g. initial/continuing vocational education and training, skills and competence development, recognition of qualifications) enables country specific as well as cross-country comparisons and analyses.
Short descriptions of the vocational education and training systems in the EU Member States
The short descriptions of the VET systems in the EU Member States are produced for the countries holding the EU-Council presidency by the ReferNet team of the respective country in cooperation with CEDEFOP. Priority of this publication is the policy and development issues rather than to more descriptive information on the system´s operation. Further information on certain aspects of VET provide the detailed thematic analyses. More general information on Germany´s education and training system as a whole can be obtained from the websites of Eurydice.

Furthermore the detailed thematic analyses give a more precise description of a VET theme for each country. Most information is collected from the national ReferNet teams. For some specific themes (e.g. guidance and counselling) other VET experts have been contracted by CEDEFOP.
